‘Undisciplined’ is a 1-day graduate symposium that will debut Saturday, October 1st, 2011. It is an event wholly conceptualized and organized by Queen’s Cultural Studies students.

Because of the interdisciplinary and cross-departmental nature of our program, Undisciplined recognizes that CS students and faculty face unique challenges when it comes to academic advising and community building. Our goal is that CS members will use the symposium to create opportunities for intellectual dialogue and mentorship. With 80 faculty and nearly 50 students as of September 2011, Queen’s Cultural Studies is a program that is thriving in every possible way. Our scholarship and interests are as diverse as our membership. We invite you to come and check-out where we’re headed by attending Undisciplined 2011.

We would like to thank Queen’s SGPS, the School of Graduate Studies, the Program of Cultural Studies, the Department of Art, the Department of Film and Media, the Department of Geography, the Department of Gender Studies and the Department of Mining for their generous funding support. Without you, Undisciplined could not take place.
